Our current course offerings:
ACT! v.2007 and up Intro
This course is for new ACT! users. Students will learn the ACT! Interface, create and modify contact records and company records, and perform simple lookups. Students will also create and modify groups, schedule activities, create template-based letters, and compose e-mail messages.
ACT! v.2007 Advanced
In this course students will learn advanced lookup using multiple criteria, create mass mailings and opportunity management. Students will also explore ACT! templates, workgroup calendar and MS Outlook Integration
MS Access I
This course is designed for someone new to Access. No prior database knowledge is required. The topics covered include creating tables in Access along with understanding the basic components of a database which include: queries, forms and reports.
MS Access II
Individuals who have a basic knowledge of Access and want a more in depth knowledge will benefit from this class. In this class the student will learn the concept of normalization, table relationships, enhanced queries, forms and reports.
MS Access III
The course is designed for individuals who want to learn about complex table relationships, creating advanced queries, forms, and reports. Writing macros to automate common tasks and performing general database maintenance will also be covered.
MS Access IV
In this course we will cover remote database management, basic XML and be introduced to VBA code. Other topics include: Making data available on the web, developing data access pages and security.
MS Excel I
This course is for the novice with Excel. It will provide the basic foundation for creating spreadsheets and formulas. Additional topics include formatting, charts and absolute references.
MS Excel II
This course will cover advanced charts, sorting and filtering. Other topics include; importing and exporting; templates, 3-D formulas and working with large workbooks.
MS Excel III
This course will focus on more advanced features of Excel including: advanced formulas; analysis tools; pivot tables and an introduction to VBA.
MS Outlook I
The course provides skills needed to send and responding to email. Other topics covered are using the calendar, understanding the journal, working with tasks and notes.
MS Outlook II
This classes will cover advanced topics in Outlook which include: setting permissions, send options, advanced calendar journal and tasks.
MS PowerPoint I
This course is designed for students interested in learning the basics of creating a presentation. Topics include creating slides, editing text, drawing, slide sorter and running a presentation.
MS PowerPoint II
This course is for the student who has a basic working knowledge of PowerPoint and is looking for advanced training. The topics covered include: slide master, design templates, animations, diagrams and web presentations.
MS Project I
This class is designed for a student who has no or limited knowledge of MS Project. In this class the student will create a project plan, study tasks, organize tasks into a work breakdown structure. Other topics include: relationships create and assign resources, and finalizing the project to implement the plan.
MS Project II
This course is designed for the student who has a conceptual knowledge of project management and is responsible for creating and modifying project plans. This course will give you the opportunity to work with a project plan once it has entered the project implementation phase.
MS Word I
This course will provide the basic knowledge required to create a business document. Students will learn how to create, edit, format, various lay outs, and print standard business documents complete with tables and graphics.
MS Word II
This course is designed to supplement students who have a basic knowledge of Word. Topics include: styles, outline, columns, advanced tables, web pages and an introduction to macros.
Word III
Students that work extensively in Word will benefit most from this course. Topics covered include: creating TOC’s and TOA’s, references, forms, document security, basic XML and integrating Word with other Office applications.
Louts Notes Intro (v.5.0 and higher)
Students will learn how to work with Notes databases, create and edit documents, add tables to documents, send and manage mail, use the calendar features, and search the Internet from within Notes
Lotus Notes Advanced (5.0 and higher)
In this advanced course, students learn how to monitor databases, work from a remote location, and check for mail by using Notes Minder. Course activities also cover using creating animated and programmed tables, embedding and importing data, and exporting files. Students will also learn how to use the database design elements to create personal views, folders, and agents.
Crystal Reports I
This course is designed for the student who needs output from a database application (i.e. Access). In some cases, database programs have limited reporting tools, and/or they may not have access to those tools. They may or may not have programming and/or SQL experience. The class covers creating a basic report, grouping, formulas and formatting.
Crystal Reports II
In this course a student will learn how to create more sophisticated reports like subreports and cross-tabs. They will also learn how to create a running total, drill downs, charting and how to use SQL queries and dictionaries.
VISIO
In this course, you’ll learn the fundamental skills necessary to use Microsoft Visio. You will create flowcharts and organization chart. As you create these drawings, you will learn techniques to streamline connecting shapes and designing charts. When you’ve completed the course, you will have working knowledge of all of the skills required to create any kind Visio diagram.
Dreamweaver I
This course is for students new to web design and want to use Macromedia Dreamweaver to build Web sites. After completing this course, students will be able to create Web basic sites that include frame-based pages, tables, graphics, and links.
Dreamweaver II
In this course the student will work work with advanced site features available in Dreamweaver. Such features include libraries, behaviors, simple rollovers, complex navigation bars, and other page elements In addition, you will use HTML.
Fireworks
This course is for students who want to create, modify, and optimize graphics for the Web sites. Students will be able to create vector graphics that include rollovers, text, hotspots, and other visual effects.
Fireworks II
This class is for the student who is familiar with vector graphics and wants a more in depth knowledge of design. The student will learn advanced skills for vector graphics, photographic images and visual effects. Slicing rollovers, symbols, animation, and basic HTML are also covered.
Flash I
This course is for students with little or no experience creating Flash animations. In class the student learns the basics of Flash, including tools , features, and will create different types of animations.
Flash II
For students with some experience creating Flash animations, who want to build more efficient animations this class will help. In this course students will work with symbols, instances, create extensive time lines, build complex navigation controls, work with sound, and optimize your movies.
